Community Yard Sale

The community yard sale on 8/12/06 was a success. The weather
was perfect for this event. Besides making a couple of bucks, cleaning out their
basements or garages, contributing to the activities committee future events
fund, neighbors had the opportunity of meeting each other some for the first
time or getting to know each other better.
Michael Pilaitis
did a wonderful job of organizing this event. Thanks also to Anita
Sumner, check out her website,
for making and posting some of the posters around town and the neighborhood.

SchoolView was the street that had the most houses
participating on the yard sale. A good time was had by all.

Kristen Sassi and her family were very enthusiastic about the
event and seemed to be having a great time. A group of
children were generously offering free lemonade to buyers and neighbors and
playing with their friends.

There was a great deal of participation in Phase 1. The HOA achieved the goal of this
event which was to promote a sense of community and more interaction between
neighbors.

In Memory of Kyle Renehan
On December 9th, 2004, one of our Slate Hill Drive neighbors, Kyle Renehan, son of Jim and Theresa
Renehan, passed away in Germany from wounds sustained in Iraq.
We pray that Kyle, having made the
ultimate sacrifice, was well received at the gates of heaven.
